A favorite of antiquaires and collectors of 19th century pottery, mochaware is known for its gorgeous earth-and-sky colors and for its fabulous (some might say psychadelic) motifs - seaweed, earthworm, cat's eye. We've partnered with one of the country's only potters who has kept alive the tradition of throwing mocha - a complex art in which pigment is added to wet clay to achieve the beautiful patterns of the final vessels. Mochaware may have had its first home in an English country tavern, but we think it is uber chic in just about any setting.
