Handmade Wrapping Paper, Garthwaite Red
Handmade Wrapping Paper, Garthwaite Red
Description
In 17th-century Venice, when publishing was at its peak, bibliophiles were captivated by the alchemy of paper marbling to adorn covers and endpapers. Named after Palazzo Ducale, this design is at once festive and timeless. A rich palette of reds with an olive ground and subtle hints of golden yellow pairs perfectly with a rich silk or velvet ribbon. I fell in love with this paper on a recent trip to the UK where it was displayed beautifully in Liberty of London's extraordinary paper shop. It is some of the most exquisite paper I have ever touched, and its thick, matte finish makes this gift wrap as special as the box inside. I'll be using this to wrap my Valentines gifts with a big red bow.
