This Italian Neoclassical Commode dates from the late 18th century, and reflects the clean, handsome lines of the period. The walnut wood has a beautiful patina and has not been stripped or refinished, only waxed and kept in good condition. Original brass hardware adds an element of charm to this substantial piece. One back leg has been repaired by the dealer, an expert antiquarian.
