Made of a beautiful walnut with darker wood inlay in a diamond pattern, this daybed is typical of the French Empire style. Its curved arms and shapely apron give it an air of sophistication, but we've styled it here with a bright yellow mohair fabric and eclectic pillows covered in a Christopher Moore fabric to give it a little whimsy. The daybed is sold with its original velvet bolsters, boxspring and rose-colored velvet cover, but any buyer will want to custom cover the mattress to coordinate with the room it will call home. While the existing mattress also comes with the bed, it is soft, and we would recommend adding a custom Bechtel or other mattress so that it can double as guest bed and sofa, as we use it in the shop. Bed is longer and narrower than a standard twin.
