I have been collecting these adorable cardboard houses and churches for years, and even though some would consider them the height of kitsch, I love to line them on my kitchen sideboard, nestled among fresh fir, cedar, and tiny glittered Ino Schaller trees. My kids delight in the holiday village they create, even now when they are old enough to start collecting their own Christmas treasures.
